Sahebzade Irrfan Ali Khan (born 7 January 1967) , credited as Irrfan Khan or simply Irrfan , is an Indian film actor known for his works predominantly in Bollywood.Khan was born in Jaipur, to a Muslim family.He is also known for his works in British Indian films, Hollywood ventures , and a Telugu film. In india, Irrfan gained the reputation of a skilled actor from his roles in Bollywood movies such as The warrior, Maqbool, Haasil, Paan Singh Tomar,Gunday ,Rog and soon.He also hosted the TV show Mano Ya Na Mano and appeared in popular vodafone commercials.Khan's English-language mainstream work includes character roles in movies like The Namesake, New York, Slumdog Millionaire, The Darjeeling Limited,A Mighty Heart, Life of pi and soon.Khan has won three Filmfare Awards, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and an Independent Spirit Award Nomination.He is also the recipient of 2011 Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian awardin India. The film was a box-office success.

3.Life of Pi (2012)
Life of Pi is a American 3D adventure drama film based on Yann Martel's 2001 novel of the same name.Directed by Ang Lee, the film's adpated screenplay was written by David Magee, and it stars Suraj Sharma, Irrfan Khan, Rafe Spall, Gerard Depardieu, Tabu and Adil Hussain.The storyline revolves around an Indian man named Piscine Molitor "Pi" Patel, living in Canada and telling a novelist about his life story and how at 16 he survives a shipwreck in which his family dies, and in stranded in the Pacific Ocean on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger named Richard Parker.Life of Pi emerged as a critical and commercial success, earning over US$609 million worldwide.It was nominated for three Golden Globe Awards which include the Best Picture-Drama and the Best Director and won the Golden Globe Award for Best Original Score.
4.Maqbool (2004)
Maqbool is a Indian crime drama film directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Bobby Bedi.It is released in 30 January 2004 starring Irrfan Khan, Tabu, Pankaj kapoor, Om Puri, Naseeruddin Shah. It was a brillaint adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth and with Mumbai underworld as its backdrop.Maqbool is the right hand man of Jahangir khan, a powerful underworld Don.Pankaj kapoor was awarded tht National Film Award for best supporting Actor for his portrayal of a robust Don.The movie gains pace with two corrupt Police-men predicting that maqbool would soon taker over the reins of Mumbai Underworld from Abba Ji.This film receives positive reviews from critics.The film did not perform remarkably at the box-office, but won director Vishal Bhardwaj international acclaim.
5.Slumdog Millionaire (2008)
Slumdog Millionaire is a British drama film directed by Danny Boyle, written by Simon Beaufoy,and produced by Christian Colson.It was co-directed in India by Loveleen Tandan.It is released in 30 August 2008 starring Dev patel, Anil Kappor, Irrfan Khan,Madhur Mittal,Freida Pinto.It is an adaptation of the novel Q & A (2005) by Indian author and diplomat Vikas Swarup.The film tell the story of Jamal Malik ,a young man from the Juhu Slums of Mumbai who appears on the Indian vesion of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? and exceeds people's expectations, thereby arousing the suspicious of cheating ;Jamal recounts in flashback how he knows the answer to each question, each one linked to a key event in his life.A sleeper hit, Slumdog Millionaire was widely acclaimed, being praised for its plot, soundtrack and direction.In addition, it was nominated for ten Academy Awards in 2009 , winning eight, the most for any film of 2008.It also won seven BAFTA Awards including Best Film, five Crtics' Choice Awards and four Golden Globes.
