Manoj Bajpayee (born 23 April 1969) also called as Manoj Bajpai , is an Indian film actor who works predominantly in Bollywood,Tollywood and Kollywood.He has received praise from many critics for his acting performance in Indian Cinema, most notably for his roles as dacoit Maan Singh in Bandit Queen, Raghavan in Aks, Bhiku Mahatre in Satya, Rasheed in Pinjar, and Sardar Khan in Gangs of Wasseypur .His work has been recognised by several Filmfare awards as well as multiple National Film Awards.He was born in a small village of Bihar on the border of Nepal called Belwa near the town Narkatiaganj in West Champaran.He worked as a teacher at Salaam Balak Trust in Delhi.He started his career with a television serial aired on Doordarshan, Swaabhimaan. 1.Gang of Wasseypur-Part 1 (2012)


Gang of wasseypur is a my favorite which i personally watch..It is released in 2012 and directed and produced by Anurag Kashyap,and starring Manoj Bajpai, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Huma Qureshi, Tigmanshu Dhullia , Jaideep Ahlawat,Piyush Mishra, Reemma Sen, Richa Chadda.This movie centered on the Coal mafia of Dhanbad, Jharkhand, and the underlying power struggles, politics, and vengeance between three crime families. Its story spans from the early 1940s to mid-1990s.The entire film was shot at one go but due to extended time of 318 minutes of the complete print, it was eventually divided into two movies.The film received an A certification from the Indian censor board.The films soundtrack is heavily influenced by traditional Indian folk songs.

2.Raajneeti (2010)


Raajneeti is a Indian political thriller film.It is released in 2010 and directed and produced by Prakash Jha and starring Ajay Devgan, Nana Patekar, Ranbir Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpayee, Sarah Thompson, Naseeruddin Shah.The film draws parallels to the epic Mahabharata where shades of Krishna ,Arjuna, Bheema, Duryodhana and Karna can be seen in the character portrayed.Critically the movie was well received, and earned about 143 crores at the Box Office.It had portrayed the murkiness and the tricks of politicians and the struggle very well. Asequel of Raajneeti has been declared by Prakash Jha.This movie will cast Katrina Kaif as Powerful Politician.

3.Satyagraha (2013)


Satyagraha is Indian Hindi Ploitical drama film.The term Satyagraha was coined and developed by Mahatma Gandhi.It is released in 2013 and directed by Prakash Jha and starring Amitabh Bachchan, Kareena Kapoor, Ajay Devgan, Arjun Rampal, Manoj Bajpai, Amrita Rao.Amitabh Bachchan plays the role of Dwarka Anand, a man who is a firm believer of truth and an inherent believer of society who wants his son to give back to society and the nation all that they have given him. Manav and Arjun decide to construct a regional party to eliminate corruption and reconstruct the entire system for the welfare of a common man.

4.Satya (1998)


Satya is a Indian crime film written and directed by Ram Gopal Varma.It is released in 1998 starring Manoj Bajpai, J.D Chakravarthy, Urmila Matondkar, Paresh Rawal, Govind Namdev, Saurabh Shukla, Jeeva, Sanjai Mishra.The first film of the Indian Gangster trilogy, tells the story of Satya, an immigrant who comes to Mumbai seeking his fortune but instead gets sucked into the Mumbai underworld.The film was show cased among the Indian Panaroma, and the New  York Asian Film festival.The film was listed among CNN-IBN's 100 greatest Indian films of all time.Satya become a surprise hit at the box office of 1998.The film went on to win six Filmfare Awards.It is considered one of the best gangster films of all time.

5. Shool (1999)


Shool is a Indian Hindi crime drama film written by Ram Gopal Varma and directed by E.Nivas.The film portrays the politician-criminal nexus and the criminalization of politics in the state of Bihar, and its effect on the life of an honest police officer.It is released in 1999 starring Manoj Bajpai, Raveena Tandon, Sayaji Shinde. The film starred manoj Bajpai as inspector Samar Pratap Singh and Sayaji Shinde as the borderline psychopath criminal-politician Bachhu Yadav. The film opens with a late-night telephone call from Patna to Yadav's residence that the party he works for has selected another politician for the ticket this time. Yadav wastes no time and gets that politician stabbed under his supervision. The film won the National film Award for Best Feature Film in Hindi.

6.1971 (2007)


1971 is a movie directed by Amit Sagar based on a true story of prisoners of war after the Indo-Pak war of 1971.It is released in 2007 starring Manoj Bajpai, Ravi Kishan , Chitaranjan Giri, Kumud Mishra, Deepak Dobriyal, vivek Mishra, Piyush Mishra.It won the National Film Award for best Feature Film in Hindi.The film is an account of six soldiers of the Indian Army taken as Prisoner of war by Pakistan Army, during the Indo-Pakistani war of 1971.

7.Kaun (1999)


Kaun is a Indian psychological thriller film directed by Ram Gopal Varma and produced by Mukesh Udeshi.It is released in 1999 starring Urmila Matondkar, Manoj Bajpai, Sushant Singh.The film features a man claiming to be a white collar worker and another man claiming to be a police inspector, both attempting to get into the house of a young woman.The film is considered to be one of the best collaborations between Ram Gopal Varma and Urmila Matondkar and is touted to be one of  the best thriller's of Indian cinema.The film has since received cult status.

8.Bandit Queen (1994)


Bandit Queen is a Indian biographical film based on the life of Phoolan Devi.It was directed by Shekhar Kapur and produced by Bobby Bedi.it is released in 1994 starring Seema Biswas, Manoj Bajpai, Nirmal pandey, Saurabh Shukla, Aditya Srivastava, Hemant Pandey, Anupam Shyam, Dolly Ahluwalia.The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature film in hindi, Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie and Best Direction for that year.The film was premiered in the Directors' Fortnight section of the 1994 Cannes Film Festival and was screened at the Edinburgh Film festival.


9.pinjar (2003)


Pinjar (English:Cage) is a Indian period drama film directed by Chandra Prakash Dwivedi .It is released in 2003 starring Manoj Bajpai, Urmila Matondkar, Sanjay Suri,Isha Koppikar, Farida Jalal, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Sandali Sinha, Priyanshu Chatterjee.The film is based on a Punjabi novel of the same name written by Amrita Pritam.Pinjar tells the story of Puro, a young woman of Hindu background, living  a lovely life-circling the time of the partition of 1947-with her family.Puro is betrothed to a wealthy, sweet young man, Ramchand, from a promising family.The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration.

10.Special 26 (2013)


Special 26, also known as Special Chabbis is a Indian thriller heist film directed by Neeraj Pandey.It is released in 2013 starring Akshay Kumar, Manoj Bajpai, Kajal Aggarwal, Jimmy Shergill, Divya Dutta, Anupam Kher.The film is inspired by a real-life heist on 19 March 1987 where a group as Central Bureau of Invesigation (CBI) officers executed an income tax raid on the Opera House branch of Tribhovandas Bhimji Zaveri in Mumbai.It was regarded as one of the best film of 2013. The movie was distributed all over India by Viacom18 Motion Pictures and wide Frame Pictures.The first schedule of the film was shot in Chandni Chowk, following which the unit moved to Jama Masjid.
